May 2011 Certificates

Well, alhamdulillah, the British Council has received the IGCSE and AS/A2 Results Certificates and are busy stamping them right now.  I shall collect them, God willing, tomorrow morning and have them ready for distribution, after copying, after Dhuhr tomorrow, 21st August.  Do not forget, we close at 2pm daily and this is the last working week before the Ramadan holiday.

Results certificates June 2011

The British Council has informed me that the results certificates for recent exams are due out on 24th August i.e. next Wednesday.  Since many of you graduating students require them for university admission, it is critical that you collect them on that date since it is the last working day for myself and Mr Salman before the Ramadan holidays begin.

It is uncertain why the certificates are delayed this year. Suggestions that the markers were involved in the riots are completely unfounded!

Not happy with results?

You can ask for a re-mark or re-check for your June 2011 exams.  Mostly the results do not change but it is your right to request.  There are different levels of remark/recheck:

• For a re-check without report the cost is SR425- for an IGCSE subject, SR285- for each AS/A2 component and  SR505- for AS or A2 as a whole.

• For a re-check with report, the cost is SR890 for an IGCSE subject,  SR565- for each AS/A2 component and SR1,100-  for AS or A2 as a whole.

The most useful of all is with the report since, even if they do not change your grade, they give you a brief report on your answers to each question, so it should help you in future examinations.

If you wish to ask for a re-check, please come to the office before 22nd August to give us time to get the documents filled in and sent to the British Council.

Results May/June 2011 exams

Asalamu  alaykum

The moment has finally arrived when the results are due to be released.  May Allah give you all tawfeeq in getting the results you need/deserve.  If you do not have your password to access the results, write to me at manaratresults@gmail.com.

If you are not happy with your result, you can ask for remark/recheck or resit in November, through our office.  Mr. Salman and I are present up until 24th Ramadan/August. After that date, you will not be able to resit, so please come early to give us time to send the documents off to the British Council.
